Parati took OKC by storm on May 6 & 7 at the US Rowing Central Region Championships. Gold and silver place finishers receive an invitation to race against the country’s fastest crews at Youth Nationals in Bradenton, Florida in June 2017. Parati finished first AND second in the Men’s lightweight 2x and Men’s lightweight 4+. Also winning gold were the Women’s lightweight 2x, and the Men’s 4x known as the QUADZILLA. The Women’s 2-, Women’s lightweight 4+, Men’s lightweight 8+, Women’s 2x and the Men’s 2- finished well to receive bids for Youth Nationals. The Parati Men’s Freshman 4x also won gold, and the future looks bright for those young men. Parati will take 22 athletes to race at Youth Nationals this year, an amazing accomplishment for a team just ending its fifth year. Well done rowers!
