Parati raced in OKC on May 5 & 6th at the Central Region Youth Championships to capture an amazing 8 bids to US Rowing Youth Nationals in Sacramento, CA in June. Only the top 2 finishers in each event win a qualifying bid. This makes 39 bids for Parati in our 6 year history, and Parati remains the ONLY team in Houston to qualify a crew for Nationals since our founding in 2012. In addition to receiving bids, 2 crews earned Regional Championship titles in the Varsity division. Cooper Jones & Eddie Smith won in the Men’s 2x, and Dylan Dalpedri & Morgan Pirie won in the Men’s Lightweight 2x. Winning silver were Grace Butero & Payten Kooyers in the Women’s 2x, John Montano & Kory Rogers in the Men’s Lightweight 2x, Grace Butero, Ximena Chico, Peyton Hulsewe, Payten Kooyers in the Women’s 4x, Lindsey Brown & Lauren Jablonski in the Women’s Lightweight 2x, Lindsey Brown, Hannah Haymark, Lauren Jablonski, Juliana Olson, Brooke Hadix in the Women’s Lightweight 4+, Dylan Dalpedri, John Montano, Morgan Pirie, Kory Rogers, Genesis Pieri in the Men’s Lightweight 4+. James Robinson and Sam Schofield anticipate a drop down bid in the Men’s 2-.
