Parati and 42 other clubs from around the country met in Oklahoma City on September 29 & 30th to kick off the Fall Head Race season at the Head of the Oklahoma. Parati entered 40 crews in all divisions, sweeping and sculling, to row the 4k course, and came away with many medals. Highlights included a gold medal for Kory Rogers and John Hollingsworth in the Men’s Jr Lightweight 2x, and the a gold for the Women’s Novice 8+. In that boat were Clare Reilly, Mallory Cronan, Bree Wray, Sidney Molina, Isabelle Sterba, Paige and Peyton Blackwell-Frank, Edie Magana, and Brooke Hadix as coxswain. The Mixed 8+ also earned a gold in a fun event to close out the regatta. Parati earned 3 silvers and 3 bronze medals in addition to their 3 gold. All in all, 28 of the 38 Parati kids racing took at least one medal home. This young team is setting their sights on success at Head of the Hooch in Chattanooga in November. Well done!
