Parati Competitive Rowing had three boats compete at Youth Nationals in Oak Ridge, Tennessee on June 7-9 and had a great showing! Danny Dalton and Clay Jones placed 6th in the nation in the Men’s Double after an amazing semi-finals qualifying race. Hugo Gomez and Blake Eastwick placed 18th in the Men’s lightweight double while John Puzz claimed 17th in the Men’s single. Jones, Eastwick and Puzz will return to race again next year; Dalton and Gomez graduated and are moving on to MIT and the Naval Academy respectively. Parati rowers had 20+ fans travel with them to Oak Ridge to cheer them on and fun was had by all. University coaches are taking notice of our great program and exceptional athletes. Youth Nationals will be held in Sacramento, CA next year and we expect to send a large contingency. Well done Parati!
