Parati rowers raced the best crews in the country at US Rowing Youth Nationals in Bradenton, Florida on June 9-11. Twenty-two Parati athletes competed in 5 boats, with 2 crews qualifying for the Grand Final. Winning 4th place in the country was the Men’s Lightweight 8+, coxed by University of Texas bound Ally Okeefe. Seniors Jacob Castro, Nate Eastwick, Cam Hayden, Reid Marlow and Andre Turati joined Junior men Dylan Dalpedri, John Montano and Morgan Pirie to secure the highest place finish in Parati’s 5 year history. The Men’s 4x, known as the Quadzilla, raced to a 6th place finish with Eric Hoster, Jack Schofield, Cooper Jones and Eddie Smith. Winning the B Final to place 7th were Micah Dial and Grace Butero in the Women’s 2-, and Lindsey Brown and Freshman Novice Lauren Jablonski in the Women’s Lightweight 2x. The Women’s Lightweight 4+ placed 21st. Parati gets closer each year in the hunt for a National Championship, and our athletes continue to pursue excellence in sport, character and service along the way. Youth Nationals was a fabulous end to a very successful year.
